Privacy and Cookies
Your privacy is extremely important to us. As a result of this we will never give your personal details out to third parties who are not directly involved with your transaction. This includes for e-mailing or marketing purposes.
When you make a purchase online with us we do collect certain information, this includes your name, billing, delivery addresses and email address. All of this information is mandatory and is held on a secure server off site.
We believe in the strictest payment guidelines, as such we do not hold onto your financial details. In fact, when placing your order online all information in regards to your method of payment (whether by credit card or debit card) is passed onto a third party payment gateway (namely sagepay or paypal) to handle your card details in the most efficient and confidential way and do not even pass through our servers. These third party payment gateways are under there own strict guidelines to keep your information private and are experts in doing so.
When placing your order with Frances Hunt, you can be assured that we use the highest levels possible for online security. You will notice that once you enter our payment pages you are entering a secure section of the website, you can see that the URL will change from http:// to https://. This means an SSL level encryption technology which is the highest level of security software currently available for online transactions. In addition to this we also scan our website using third party scanning software for additional website security.
You can view both our SSL certificate and our Security Metrics at the bottom of the page and if you wish to view the certificates, these are viewable on the checkout pages:
Our security mechanisms dont stop there, for even more peace of mind we also use verified by visa and master card secure code for extra transaction security. Once set up, you are able to enter an extra password only known by yourself which is registered with your credit or debit card.
We will never send you an email asking you for any personal information, this includes your address details or payment details. If you receive an email which appears to be from us asking for this information then please call us straight away and do not reply to the email.
Some of the cookies we use are strictly necessary in order for our website to work correctly, disabling them will make certain areas of our website not function properly (for example your basket, when placing an item in your basket a cookie is used so the website knows to remember you have added an item to the basket).
Monitoring site and user performance and behaviour.
Occasionally you will see an advert of ours on another website. This may happen as you have shown an interest in our website recently. This is not permanent and if you do not visit us again this will in time expire.
Whilst not strictly necessary some cookies are used to improve your experience on our website, for example our social media interaction on the website cookies to remember you and others for twitter, facebook etc.
