We purchased the table to complement an oval, glass top, ash-based table that we already have in what is a large sitting room. It does this very well and adds to the general user-friendliness of the room. There is a lot of oak already in the room and the clean, simple lines of the table add value to the overall ambiance. Seeing the wood through the substantial glass top is clearly an asset. It was easy to assemble, done in ten minutes, and I would rate it as a "good buy", useful and lovely to look at.
I am really pleased with this purchase. It looks great and was very easy to assemble.
